I have read in a past posting that at higher altitudes the carb likes to run leaner. I just installed a jardine slip-on and was thinking about pulling out the white spacer to fully eleminate the backfire as well as increase performance. Is this a good idea living at higher altitudes? I am happy with the savage's overall performance, but would like some more punch. I do not want to go threw the trouble if i am going to make things worse. Bullocks to that forbidden fruit of a white spacer! Thanks for any input.
